What a fun day your child will have working alongside Mrs. Ewart as our PDS Librarian! Your young librarian will:

• Check out books to students using the ever-coveted barcode scanner.
• Pick the read aloud book for the day.
• Read to visiting Pre-K and Kindergarten students.
• Help shelve books.
• And last but certainly not least, enjoy a special treat with two friends and Mrs. Ewart after a hard day of work is done.

 This might be the best day ever!!

Your child and up to three (3) friends will strike up the fun with Miss McFarland and Ms. Pursley! We will meet at Lucky Strike at the Montgomery Mall in Bethesda for an afternoon of bowling and snacks. It is sure to be a memorable time that is right up your alley. This is how we roll!

Pure pandemonium for your pupil plus three (3) pals during a positively phenomenal Pig picnic with pizza, punch, and prizes in the Phonovisual room this spring with Mrs. Najaka. Priceless! 

Mr. Mufson is always on the lookout for that perfect work of art as a statement piece. Cue your budding artist to fill this request! He/she will work with art teacher, Ms. Booth, during the 2023-2024 school year on subject matter and design and will work collaboratively to create the finished piece (three 60-minute sessions with Ms. Booth). The piece will be framed and ceremoniously take a place of prominence in the Head of School office. How cool is that? daVinci himself would be impressed.

Spend a juicy and delicious afternoon strawberry picking at Butler's Orchard with Ms. McDanald and Mrs. Mendelson. Four (4) children will enjoy a picnic lunch, fruit picking and other fun activities.

Glen Echo Park is the perfect place to play and picnic with Pre-K friends! Your child and three friends will enjoy the playground, carousel, and picnic with Ms. Layton and Ms. Moshyedi!  What a perfect play date!

Do you enjoy scavenger hunts? Mrs. D'Andrea has teamed up with Beako to hide clues around PDS! Will you be able to successfully decipher each message and locate the hidden treasure? Five (5) students will join forces with Mrs. D'Andrea to explore the school after hours. Running in the hallways may even be permitted during this once-a-year event! After tackling the cryptic poems and locating the treasure, you will cool off by participating in a water play jamboree, followed by a fun craft, pizza (or other preferred dinner choice), and ice-cream sundaes! Each child will also receive a bag of goodies to celebrate the end of the school year and the beginning of summer fun!
